My desire for a balanced image, my appetite for contrast, my taste for style in combination with my patience for details gives the perfect blend for a lighting artist. My professional experience is with Maya and Renderman.

Compositing is often part of the lighting process. It is a type of work that I particularly enjoy. I have professional experience with Nuke, Shake and Fusion.

Please visit the gallery to have an idea of the type of lighting I produced for different projects.

After my BFA, I worked as a multimedia integrator, using Actionscript (Flash) and Javascript. When I witched to the 3D field, I started to learn MEL scripting, then RenderMan Shading Language, and now Python.

I've always developped tools and scripts for productions I worked on. The position that taugth me the most (technically speaking) was when I developed a Renderman pipeline at Beyond-FX, for a 1:30 minute cinematic. Because I had to take care of the shading-lighting-rendering-compositing pipeline altogether, which was different from Avatar or Despereaux where I developped tools specifically for the lookdev and lighting departments only.

You can have a look at some tools for Maya in the MEL script page and simple surface shaders in the shader page, that I wrote a while ago.

Although my mother tongue is French, my English is excellent.

My dynamism, rigor and perseverance were rewarded several times. There are three things that distinguish me: I am a very fast learner, I have an analytic mind, and I have a strong leadership.

I have both Canadian and French citizenship.
